Indoor
The first activity could be for your child to draw or paint a picture and put some hidden thing is for you to find. If they struggle you could give them a theme like a forest picture with hidden animals in or a night-time picture with things that come out at night in. You could also do a picture for your child/children and then they can search for the hidden things you put in your picture. Another activity could be to do an indoor scavenger hunt. You could either do a list of things for your child/children to find or you could hide things round the house for them to find, for example socks and they have to find the pairs. If you have more than one child then you could do this as a team. A final indoor activity could be to make a unicorn using a paper plate, paint, card and some wool. Use the paper plate as the unicorn's head and then cut a horn out of some card to stick at the top of the plate. Your child/children can then decorate their unicorn using paint, pens or crayons and they can use wool for the mane.
Outdoor
The first activity could be to do a scavenger hunt outside. There are lists on the internet that you can print off if you are out and about or you could do a garden scavenger hunt or even hide some of your child/children's toys. Don't forget where you hide them though. For younger children you could give them pictures of the toys they need to find and for older children you could give them a written list. Another fun outdoor activity could be to make a unicorn horn to go on your child/children's head using card or foam twisted into a cone shape and then make some card hoops that can be thrown over the horn and then your child/children can see how many they can catch. A final activity could be to have a good old-fashioned game of hide and seek. This could also be inside if the weather isn't great.
Food/Cooking
The first food activity could be make unicorn horns using ice-cream cones. Your child can decorate their cone using chocolate spread, peanut butter, chocolate, sweets or fruit. Sprinkles always look good too. Another food inspired activity could be to choose a colour and then your child/children can go shopping with you and choose three foods of that colour. This is fun and you could always get them to choose a few colours and then make a meal using the colours they chose. A final food inspired activity could be to make some instant whip or custard and hide some different fruits in for your child's dessert. They can enjoy guessing and finding what is in there.
